There are 156 reasons to be a teacher and we truly believe that Greensward Academy is a great place to work. There are no unwieldy and impossible marking policies, departments are trusted to develop the methods of providing feedback that best suits their subjects. This ranges from whole class feedback sheets to target code marking. The policy is simple and in essence is just that feedback must be regular, timely and most importantly lead to students acting upon the teacher’s suggestions.
Your career development is a priority and we will provide you with opportunities to work on whole school priorities and gain the experience required to progress into middle or senior leadership. Additionally, we offer support for middle leaders wishing to apply to become Specialist Leaders of Education. Student behaviour is excellent and is supported by same-day whole-school sanctions where necessary, and senior leaders have a high profile to ensure that you are supported to develop. This year we have introduced centralised detentions run by the leadership team to ensure your time is spent on planning really good lessons rather than running detentions.

This position is fixed term to cover maternity leave and is required to commence 1 September 2018.
