 Arcadia School is looking for an inspirational Physical Education Teacher who has a passion for Swimming and Aquatics and enthuses students to participate in extra-curricular sports and activities. We are looking to appoint someone who is an outstanding teacher of PE with an impressive academic and practical performance background and who will have the ability to assist the future development of sport in the school. We are very lucky to have our own first-class facilities at Arcadia to match a wide range of interests and abilities. Our core sports consist of football, netball, swimming, rugby, athletics, and basketball.

We are seeking: 

  • The successful candidate will be required to teach Physical Education lessons from EYFS to Key Stage 2 students. Someone who is also able to teach GCSE PE and BTEC Sport would be advantageous 
  • Willingness and ability to attend and run extra-curricular activities, squad training and competitions 
  • A fully qualified teacher holding Qualified Teacher Status with more than 3 years of experience

Interviews will be conducted via Zoom . Round 1 with Director of Sport and the 2nd with a Senior Leadership Team member. 

You must meet the following requirements for a visa or working permit:

  • 2 years teaching experience.
  • A degree where the title includes subject taught.
  • B. Ed, Bachelors with Teaching Qualification, PGCE or PGDE, UK Qualified Teacher Status or similar teaching qualification.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Should hold a valid passport from either Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom or United States.
  • Criminal background check, References, Medical check
  • Over 23 and below 55 years of age
