Kings’ School Al Barsha is seeking a PE teacher with a passion for cricket to join our outstanding department which is rapidly gaining a reputation for excellence across the UAE. This role requires an excellent practitioner to prepare, plan and deliver highly effective learning that leads to outstanding achievement and personal progress of all students, consistent with the ethos of the school. 

The department is superbly resourced, with extensive facilities to support a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities. Sport is a major part of students' lives at Kings’ and the successful candidate will be expected to devote time both before and after school, as well as weekends, to running clubs and competitive teams.

Requirements:  

• A high quality degree with Physical Education, Outdoor Education, Sports Science or a related subject  as the sole or significant focus  
• Qualified Teacher Status 
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at secondary or primary level 
• Energy, vigour, perseverance, stamina and resilience
• Proven track record of developing school cricket teams and/or programmes
• Proven track record of success in raising achievement and bringing about improvement
• Ability to deliver high quality innovative and exciting lessons in the spirit of the vision for learning set out by the school
• An exceptional, collaborative, inspirational practitioner with proven ability to build positive working relationships
• A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care  
• Able and willing to make a broader contribution to school life  
• Experience of working overseas or with international students would be an advantage.
