About the role:

The role will be based in the Science Department in the Centre for Applied Sciences on our Angel campus. This is a permanent post.

We are looking to appoint a full-time permanent General Science Lecturer to teach on level 3 BTEC courses and act as a course tutor as required by the Curriculum Leader for Science.

The main duties will include teaching and Level 2 Applied Science Units including Energy and Our Universe and Applications of Physical Science. At Level 3 units may include Electrical Circuits, Principles of Science 1 & Lab techniques & their applications.

About you:

You will hold an Honours Degree in Science subject with demonstrable experience of teaching science qualifications. You will also hold, or be willing to obtain a recognised teaching qualification. You will be used to maintaining professional and quality standards, and keeping high quality documentation.

Located in the London Borough of Islington, City and Islington College (otherwise known as Candi) is a further education college with students aged 14 and over. The college was first established in 1993, following a merger of four institutions in the local area. As a result, the college has over 12,000 students of all types in attendance.
