Location: Hillingdon, London

Contract type: Permanent, term time (39 weeks a year) 

Pay: £39,500 - £43,500 (depending on candidate experience)

The role

We are looking to appoint a hardworking physiotherapist with clinical experience working with children aged 3 – 19 with a range of movement disorders and additional physical needs.  Strong candidates will also have experience supervising & leading a team.

The successful candidate will work closely with other professionals in a supportive and friendly environment and will also be offered a range of opportunities to develop.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering high quality physiotherapy assessment and providing supervision and management to other therapy staff

• Providing specialist advice & training to colleagues, trust staff, assistants, and trainees within the academy

• Adapting services to meet any additional needs of young people and to support safeguarding systems to ensure the wellbeing of pupils

• Working closely with the head of therapies in managing, leading, and developing the physiotherapy service


The school

This role will require working across 4 specialist schools for young people with a range of learning difficulties, including autism, as well as physical and sensory needs.

The successful candidate will be required to work at all 4 schools in the trust - they are closely located with on-site parking or reachable by public transport.


Requirements

Requirements include:

• Qualified and HPCP registered physiotherapist

• Experience in working with young people with learning disabilities

• Experience in paediatric physiotherapy and have transferrable skills applicable to the position

• Passionate and motivated in delivering a high standard of care

• Flexible and creative in their approach
