Ofsted report

We are very proud to share the fantastic news that our Ofsted inspection recognised we provide a “good quality of education” for all our children and have “significant strengths”.

The inspectors describe us as a “happy and inclusive school” which “prepares pupils well for life in modern Britain” through a “creative and engaging curriculum”. The quality of teaching, learning and assessment are “good” and “teachers have good subject knowledge” giving “clear explanations”.

Our “Pupils are friendly, polite and well-mannered” and “appreciate their teachers” through “positive relationships”, which support making “good progress” and “are well-prepared for the next step of their education”. Inspectors say “Pupils enjoy coming to school and are proud to be a part of Swavesey Primary”.

Inspectors say leadership is “outward looking” ensuring a “sound understanding of the school’s strengths and areas needing further improvement” and that our “Parents hold the school in high regard”.  In addition, “Parents are pleased with the early year’s provision” from starting preschool through to the end of reception, which inspectors say means children are “well-prepared for the challenges of Year 1”.
