Outwood Grange Academies Trust is seeking an experienced PR & Press Manager to work across our high performing multi-academy trust. This role is permanent and the working pattern is 37 hours per week and includes holiday closure periods. 

Working as part of the Executive Team of the Trust, the successful candidate's duties will include providing initial responses to media requests, liaising with journalists and working with academies to increase their local media coverage.  You will need to analyse and interpret complex information and convert that into exciting stories that will interest both the media and local communities. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the profile of the Trust, whilst protecting its reputation and image at all times. The role requires a solid understanding of social media and the ways in which people share and consume news.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in a public relations and /or working with the press in a medium-large sized organisation. Experience of the education sector would be extremely advantageous. Strong communication and IT skills will be essential, excellent organisational skills, accurate proof-reading skills and attention to detail are also vital.
