• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements;
• Basic training in one or more of the following; plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, heating systems (or sound experience of same)

Harris Academy Battersea will be in its fifth academic year in 2018-19 and has established itself as one of the highest performing schools in London, judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted in 2018. In 2017, it was awarded the Evening Standard School of the Year as well as being named one of the Sunday Times Top 20 Schools in the country. In 2016-17, it was ranked 4th highest school in England for pupil progress and the top non-selective school nationally, and achieved a provisional figure of +1.40 for Progress 8 in 2018-19: nearly three times higher than the +0.5 threshold set by OfSTED for 'Outstanding'.

The staff body is an incredible group of people. We have a zero tolerance approach to anything that interrupts the learning in a classroom and our central team deals with will all behaviour issues, non-completion of homework, phone-calls and detentions to make sure that teachers are as free as possible to do the three things that matter most: mark, plan and teach.
