About the role: Leigh Academies Trust has a fantastic opportunity for a committed and motivated Premises Maintenance Operative to join our collaborative team from December 2021, working across our academies in the Maidstone area.

This full time position will assist the wider Estates Team with the care of the academies' premises, ranging from general maintenance duties including minor repair and refurbishment works, porterage and other duties, supporting the Site Manager in ensuring the health and safety and security of our academies.

Applicants need to be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, conscientious and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideally you will have good DIY skills, some knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills and an understanding of safeguarding. We offer fantastic training opportunities so can provide support if there are any areas that you may need to be up-skilled or trained.

The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team and be expected to work at the following academies, under the direction of the Site Manager: Oaks Primary Academy, Langley Park Primary Academy, Tree Tops Primary Academy, Molehill Primary Academy, Snowfields Academy and Bearsted Primary Academy (situated within the same building as Snowfields Academy). Due to the mobile nature of the role the successful applicant will need to have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

This is a full time and permanent position which offers a salary of £19,799 per annum, based on 37 hours per week. Please be aware that interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis, therefore, we strongly encourage early applications.

About Tree Tops Primary Academy

Working for Tree Tops Primary Academy: Tree Tops Primary Academy, located on the outskirts of Maidstone, is set in magnificent grounds with ample space for both outdoor learning and play. Our thriving nursery is located on site and offers an excellent start for our children’s education. We have separate and spacious facilities for Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
