Premises Maintenance Operative (Caretaker)

About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Premises Maintenance Operative (Caretaker) to join Milestone Academy as soon as possible. We are looking for a suitably skilled, reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Duties will include general maintenance of the building and grounds, hygiene control across all areas of the school, general security and site safety and some cleaning as required. You will be a key holder for the site, and some unsocial hours may be occasionally required.

The applicant is likely to have had previous experience of premises and general maintenance, should be physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team in a school setting and be a confident communicator. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard to offer all our children the best learning environment both indoors and out. The applicant will work closely alongside the Site Manager.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary of £20,789 per annum.
