Wishmore Cross Academy is a special learning environment that provides a supportive community where everyone is encouraged to achieve their goals. We are a residential special school in Chobham, Surrey, for boys aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We admit up to 70 pupils and can offer up to 14 residential places (including extended days) on a flexible basis for up to 4 nights per week.
Given our pupils emotional fragility we are looking to appoint a dedicated, flexible and committed support professional to join us as our Premises Manager. A keen eye for detail and a good range of DIY skills are essential as well as a commitment to the important work we do within the SEND education agenda.
You will lead the strategic and operational development and deployment of Academy site, buildings and resources in order to ensure the highest standards of health and safety, as well as the best possible provision for students and value for money.
We are situated within easy reach of the M25 and M3 and, although in Surrey, is very close to Berkshire and Hampshire. Ofsted judged our Residential Provision to be ‘outstanding’ for the last six years.
For this role you will require a sound knowledge of Health & safety procedures and precautions; understanding of COSHH, CAR 2012 and IOSHH regulations; and have a clear understanding of contract compliance. You will also need good knowledge of Facilities Management services and be proficient in the use of ICT, combined with experience of contract management.
