Could you use your maintenance skills to work in an academy where the traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct? 

Brayton Academy was formed in September 2016 and is the most recent addition to the Rodillian Multi Academy Trust. At present it has 380 students from Year 7 to 11 and serves the communities of Selby town, Brayton and the outlying villages south of Selby. It is our plan to ensure that Brayton becomes excellent and the secondary school of choice within the area. 

We seek an inspiring and ambitious Premises Manager based at Brayton Academy. The ideal candidate will be conscientious and self-motivated and able to create a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.   

You will: 

• Be keen, motivated and reliable
• Be able to promote good customer relationships 

• Have a proven track record of practical maintenance skills 

• Have a good understanding of services within a building such as boilers, heating, lighting and water management 

• Have good knowledge of Health and Safety 

• Have the ability to follow site and company policies and procedures 

• Cover lettings to meet business requirements 

• Live within 30 minutes travel of the school site to allow for reactive and emergency call out cover.

Brayton Academy opened in September 2016 and serves the communities of Brayton, Selby Town and the surrounding villages. The Academy is continuing to grow and become the school of choice in the area and is part of the Rodillian Multi Academy Trust.

Rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2019, the Academy's 2021/22 Progress 8 figure is far above national average at 0.77 (including Year 10 early entry GCSEs), with 74% of students achieving a Grade 4 in English and maths and 55% of students achieving Grade 5.

Brayton Academy holds the traditional values of good discipline and respect. With this in mind we expect our students to excel in their day-to-day studies as well as their exams.

These expectations are robustly and rigorously upheld through our Positive Discipline system, which creates a calm, purposeful and harmonious environment where staff and students have positive relationships.
