Barrow Hedges Primary School are seeking to employ a full time Premises Manager. 


Barrow Hedges is a three-form entry primary school with a nursery; an academy school that is part of Cirrus Primary Academy Trust.  We have extensive buildings and grounds, including a large playing field. We strive to provide a stimulating, nurturing environment in which to learn, work and play safely.


Your role as Premises Manager will be varied and your approach must be very flexible to accommodate the requirements of the school. You will have responsibility for security, cleaning, building and grounds maintenance. You will line manage a small site team and maintain high standards of presentation, repair and cleanliness across the site


To be considered for this role, you will need knowledge of regulatory bodies and compliance as you will have responsibility for all planned maintenance, health and safety compliance, including reviews of risk assessments. You will be an effective communicator both written and verbal and have good negotiation skills for use when dealing with contractors. You will have reasonably strong general IT skills and understanding and have the ability to prioritise. A good selection of DIY / Handy person skills is essential.
