Job overview

Ref No 1583

Harris Primary Academy Crystal Palace is a vibrant, multicultural primary academy on the borders of Bromley and Lewisham with a clear vision for the future. We are a warm and welcoming academy where the children feel happy and safe. Our academy is expanding with our move to becoming two forms of entry.

Our Academy has a vacancy for a hard working committed and dedicated candidate. We need someone who is practically skilled and can fit the role of a ‘handy person’, fixing, repairing and mending the building within a school setting.
You could be asked to work alongside contractors, including the cleaners, to ensuring they produce high standards with good value for money. A knowledge of Health & Safety regulation is not essential but could help in this role. The right candidate will work with the Premises Manager.

Working hours will be 27.5 hours per week (6.30-8.30am and 2.45-6.00pm split shift), term time only (39 weeks of the year).

The Academy works within the wider Harris Federation of Schools, a supportive and highly successful group of Academies all based in and around London. Each Academy operates autonomously within the Federation but all Harris Academies collaborate closely in sharing school improvement strategies and in supporting one another.

For more information about the position, please download the Candidate Information Pack above. If you have any queries regarding this job please contract Sally Wehrle, School Business Manager at s.wehrle@harrisprimarycrystalpalace.org.uk or contact the school on 0208 778 4742.

Closing Date 13/07/2016

Harris Academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
