Job overview

Due to the continued growth of our new school, we are seeking to appoint two additional Premises Officers for our state-of-the-art school site in North Horsham.

If you are highly organised, passionate about education, committed to supporting our team to run the school as efficiently and effectively as possible, enjoy variety in your role and enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment this is a great opportunity for you.

As a new school we have a small team and the successful candidate will have a positive outlook, a flexible attitude, be willing to adapt to different situations throughout the school day and possess the ability to use their own initiative and support the school’s day to day processes. We are looking for a Premises Officer who shows commitment to working as part of a team and takes pride in their work and our school. Someone willing to become involved in all aspects of school life, showing enthusiasm, energy and a sense of fun and enjoyment. You will have strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, good administration abilities and basic IT knowledge for composing and sending emails and working with spreadsheets (training can be given). Bohunt Horsham has recently moved to a new, state of the art building north of Horsham and it is a great opportunity for somebody to really become involved in the life of the school as a whole. There will be some shift working so flexibility is key to making the most of this pivotal role.

We are proud to be part of the Bohunt Education Trust. BET’s approach to teaching and learning is innovative and immersive – a rich blend of the latest education thinking, technology and practice both in and outside the classroom. As a school we set the highest expectations for ourselves and our students and this is reflected in our results and the experiences of our pupils across the Trust. Our ethos is simple: enjoy, respect, achieve.

What is different about us?

As a member of our staff team you will benefit from the support of our school and Trust leadership and will be well placed for a range of forthcoming career opportunities.

We are a close knit team and we place a very high value on the development of our staff;

Potential candidates may make informal enquiries to Ms Georgette Ayling: Headteacher, by emailing headteacherspa@bohunthorsham.com.

Bohunt Horsham is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Please note the expected hours are negotiable and may change during school holidays to meet the school’s needs. Flexibility needs to be shown to work some evenings to cover lettings and locking up or to attend school out of hours in an emergency.
