We are recruiting an outstanding Premises Officer

Job Purpose

  • To be responsible to Senior Leadership Team for the security, maintenance, heating and ventilation, Health and Safety and other general site services within the school's establishments in order to ensure an optimum learning environment at all times.
  • To provide access to the site and monitor and report on the performance of contractors supplying goods and carrying out services at the school's establishments.
  • To perform duties that ensure the effective day to day running and upkeep of the fabric of the school's establishment, ensuring high standards of health, safety and security of pupils, staff and members of the public. Expectations of the level of organisation and attention to detail through presentation of the buildings and site are extremely high across all Gipsy Hill Federation sites. Premises staff has a key role in ensuring this both happens and is sustained practice.

CPD Opportunities

  • Our Premises Officer staff have the opportunity to attend local authority courses and any other courses relevant to carrying-out their duties. The PO team also meet as a team once a half term. There is considerable strength and support in our wider PO team who work collaboratively to achieve the very best for their sites and for all our schools.

Gipsy Hill is a well-established Federation of six primary schools: Elm Wood, Fenstanton, Glenbrook, Kingswood, Paxton and  Crawford. Five schools are in the London Borough of Lambeth and one, Crawford, is located in the London Borough of Southwark.
