St. Augustine’s C.E. High School is a medium sized mixed comprehensive school situated on the doorstep of central London, in Kilburn. The school is fully inclusive and promotes excellence in learning, seeking to ensure that all students are the best that they can be; our dedicated staff are focused on quality and achievement whilst ensuring the happiness and well-being of our community.

Following the recent formation of St Augustine’s Federated Schools, bringing together St Augustine’s Church of England Primary and High Schools, we seek to appoint an experienced and highly skilled premises officer. This role is part of the site team and colleagues work a pre-agreed shift pattern.

• Are you experienced at operating a school site?

• Do you have a commitment to a fully comprehensive, diverse, inclusive and safe environment for all site users and visitors?

• Will you support the underpinning Christian ethos of the Foundation?

• Are you able to contribute to the life of the Foundation, upholding our values “to be the best that we can be”?

The premises officer is a member of the site team and part of the school's dedicated and efficient support staff.  

The role is broad and will cover:

• H&S.

• Site Security

• Engagement with the school community and visitors

• A significant part to play in COVID alertness

The successful candidate must:

• Have recent relevant experience, be physically fit and ideally have recent training in manual handling, working at height etc.

• experienced in being part of a team

• minimum education of passes at GCSE in Maths and English

• A  ‘can-do’ attitude

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

St. Augustine’s Federated schools consists of primary and secondary voluntary aided Church of England schools, located in a diverse multi ethnic, inner city community situated in Maida Vale / Kilburn close to the heart of London.

Our comprehensive secondary school’s results have improved significantly over the last few years and Key Stage 3 results are now above the national average. The number of students achieving 5+ A*-C has increased significantly and the school achieved record results in 2006 and 2007. Contextual and non-contextual value added have shown year on year improvement for the last 3 years.
