We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with a passion for English. The successful candidate will: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects with a thematic approach
  • Liaise effectively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the implementation of an exciting English curriculum
  • Ensure that effective assessment systems for English are in place and progress is tracked across the school
  • Support the 11+ assessment process 
  • Promote the vision, culture and ethos of the school

The school was judged to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas in its most recent ISI report and ‘Outstanding’ in all areas in its diocesan inspection report. St Teresa’s Preparatory School is a member of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS), the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA), Catholic Independent Schools’ Conference (CISC), the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) and the Independent Schools Council (ISC).

St Teresa's Effingham is an independent Roman Catholic day and boarding school  in an area of outstanding natural beauty between Dorking and Effingham in Surrey.

St Teresa’s has a school population of 680 including over 80 boarders, and a healthy Sixth Form. The school has its own Preparatory School it is situated on-site with the Senior School under the leadership of its own Head. There are approximately 160 pupils on role with two form entry from Year 3 through to Year 6.

The school sits in 55 acres of beautiful countryside and the school benefits from excellent facilities.

The School is centred around the original eighteenth century manor house and has evolved over the years and now proudly boasts some outstanding facilities.

A number of new facilities have been provided to meet the needs of a modern education.
