The Prep School teaches approximately 800 pupils aged 7-14 (Years 3-8). In Years 3, 4 and 5 classes are taught by primary trained class teachers with specialist lessons in Arabic, Foreign Languages, PE, Computing, Drama and Music. In Years 6-8, pupils are taught by specialist teachers for all their lessons. 

Brighton College, Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Physical Education (PE) to join our busy and highly successful sports department.  We are seeking an inspirational and energetic person to teach PE across the Prep School. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success, innovation and development throughout their career and have a deep knowledge of the English National Curriculum. The role is a challenging and busy one, which requires collaboration with colleagues and parents, an advanced understanding of best educational practice and a willingness to be flexible.   

The successful candidate will be required to set high standards of themselves and others and will conduct themselves with consummate integrity. In doing so, they will be supported by a highly effective team of senior and middle leaders and a staff, pupil and parent body committed to the achievement of excellence. 

The role is a challenging and busy one, which requires collaboration with colleagues and parents, an advanced understanding of best educational practice and a willingness to be flexible. The successful candidate will be part of a year group team and will have a professional and inclusive outlook on team work. 

The ideal candidates will have a teaching qualification and a relevant specialist degree. .

We are looking for a strong desire and commitment to ignite our pupil’s curiosity in developing their knowledge, skills, understanding through leading teaching practices and methods. Mixed state school Brighton College Abu Dhabi educates around 1,650 pupils aged between three and 18 across its Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior schools. A Sixth Form (Year 12) opened in September 2014. Based on Abu Dhabi Island in a purpose-built campus next to Khalifa Park the has 144 academic staff and more than 100 support staff. It was the first of Brighton College UK’s sister schools in the United Arab Emirates, joined in September 2013 by Brighton College Al Ain.
