Job overview

The Kingsley School is seeking to appoint a Prep School teacher.  It would be desirable to have EYFS experience.

The Kingsley School has had an excellent reputation for first-class pastoral and academic education.  What sets Kingsley apart from other schools is its distinctive family ethos.   We are immensely proud of the fact that everyone who visits us remarks on the happy staff-student relationships and the sense of community this fosters. At Kingsley, children have a positive and purposeful approach to learning. The atmosphere here is unique; enthusiastic and approachable teachers inspire children to learn; behaviour is exemplary and children are challenged and supported according to individual need.  The Kingsley School is a Round Square School which is characterised by a shared belief in the value of Character Education based on six pillars, our IDEALS, drawn from the theories of education philosopher Kurt Hahn.

We are extending the outdoor learning provision we already offer at Kingsley in the Early Years Foundation Stage and making it available further up the school.  Outdoor learning will be available to every pupil in the Prep and not just those in EYFS. In maximising the use of Kingsley’s school pavilion and playing fields, the outdoor learning provision presents dynamic opportunities for physical development and active and holistic learning.

The successful candidate will be well qualified, a first class communicator and will be required to play a full part in the life of the school and beyond the classroom.  They will be joining an experienced and ambitious team that work hard to offer a first class education.

Closing date: Friday 14th May 9am

Interview: Friday 21st May

Please note that we are unable to offer tours prior to interview.
