Job overview
St Jude’s Early Learning Centre offers a quality preschool education, catering for children in the year prior to primary school. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework which recognises the importance of communication and language (including literacy and numeracy), and social and emotional development. Programs include play experiences, intentional teaching and learning opportunities based on the interests of the children.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Preschool Assistant at St Jude's ELC. The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to developing positive relationships with parents and carers, a well-developed sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and strong organisational skills. The successful applicant will also have a Diploma in Children's Services or Certificate 3 in Children's Services.
Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims of Catholic Education.
Please note that this is a part-time temporary position (55 hours a fortnight) commencing 3 June to 20 December 2019.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CEO policy.
