School Details –

HeadStart is based in the centre of Phuket Island and gained ‘International School’ status in 2010 and is a fully accredited International School with The Education Development Trust. In our most recent inspection, we were awarded the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM) with accreditors recognising the school to be a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features’.

Our curriculum is based on the national curriculum of England and we offer Cambridge & Pearson qualifications in Secondary including IGCSEs, A Levels and BTECs. The school has 930 students on roll and is oversubscribed in most year groups.

In August 2023 we will be opening a new campus in the north of the island in Cherngtalay. Initially, this will be a single form entry Foundation and Primary school for up to 200 students. This is a four phase project in what will become a three-form through school for students aged 2 to 16 years.

As a result of this expansion, we require a preschool teacher to join our Cherngtalay campus in August 2023.

Preschool Teacher –

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Preschool teacher for a start in August 2023. The successful candidate will be required to have experience in leading classes of 2-3 year old's, teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, and a sound understanding of the principles of play-based learning. 

We are looking for a highly committed team player with drive, energy and passion, who will inspire a love of learning within their pupils. A good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic are essential.

Requirements / Application Details –

Essential Requirements:

· Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum

· Experience of play-based learning & working with children aged 2-3 years old

· Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university

· A recognised teaching qualification: BEd.; PGCE; iPGCE or equivalent

· Must be a fluent English speaker

Desirable Requirements (not essential):

· Previous experience in an International School environment

· Experience of teaching to English as an Additional Language learners
