Job overview

Are you an inspirational, motivated and creative teacher; looking for a new and exciting challenge? Bloomsbury International School Hatyai is looking to recruit teachers who want to nurture a love for learning.   We are recruiting Primary teachers and E.A.L specialists with start dates for January 2019 or August 2019.

We offer small class sizes so that you can focus on being creative and engaging and developing each child as an individual.  We teach to the National Curriculum for England but there is always scope to transform our students learning to provide either a more local or more global context.  We believe in not only teaching content but the skills necessary to become life-long learners and global citizens.

Bloomsbury International School is a relatively new school in the South of Thailand and we are constantly growing.  We have recently been given C.I.S. Membership Status and are continuing on our journey to full accreditation.

Hatyai is the 5th biggest city in Thailand and is perfectly located to explore South East Asia. Hatyai is away from the usual tourist hotspots but has easy transport links, including an International airport, to Singapore, Bangkok, Chiang Mai and many of Thailands most beautiful islands.

If you would like to know more or to apply, please send a covering letter (no longer than 2 A4 pages) together with an up-to-date C.V. with three references, one of which must be your most recent/current employer to slt@bloomsbury.ac.th.   Please state the job for which you are applying and your preferred start date in the subject line of your email.

Applications will be considered upon receipt and we reserve the right to hire a suitable applicant(s) before the closing date.

We achieved full CIS accreditation in 2021.

Bloomsbury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in our care and requires all applicants to share this commitment. Location

Hatyai is located in southern Thailand, only 40 minutes' drive from the nearest beach in Songkhla Town and within easy reach of Krabi, Phuket, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Koh Samui and Koh Lipe, as well as Penang and Langkawi across the border in Malaysia. The international airport offers 16 flights per day to Bangkok and daily flights to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, both of which are only a short distance away, opening up the rest of Asia. It is easy to spend your weekends or holidays exploring this beautiful part of the world.

Hatyai itself is an up and coming city without the high cost of living found in other more well known destinations in Thailand.  There are large western style malls and supermarkets, and many bars and restaurants  providing a range of international food, yet Hatyai retains a very 'Thai' feel and the population are very friendly and helpful, welcoming people with the famous 'Thai Smile'.
