About the role

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Primary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion. You will become part of a very high-performing team. As one of our teachers we will expect you to be creative, innovate and committed to continually developing your teaching and to ‘Be Ambitious’ for yourself as well as the pupils in your care

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for China, including a bachelors degree.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 15th December 2019.  First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 21st January 2020 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person). 

Start Date: August 2020

As the only British International School in downtown Beijing, we are well placed within the leafy embassy district and as a result deliver a British based curriculum to students from over fifty nationalities. Our school has two campuses which are a few minutes’ walk from each other; the Early Years Campus which is especially for our Pre Nursery and Nursery students and the Primary campus at which students aged five to eleven attend. We provide a family oriented atmosphere in which parents can be certain that their children are being cared for and supported in all aspects of their learning.
