About ICS Branch 1: English Curriculum Schools

We are an English Curriculum School centrally located in the heart of Abu Dhabi Island. Branch 1 is entering into its 9th year. We began as a Primary school and are slowly expanding into a through school, adding Secondary year groups one year at a time. Year 11 will be added for August 2021 and will be the first cohort to sit exams for the IGCSE syllabus.

We strive to provide a student-centric, values-driven education to our students in a nurturing environment where pupils can develop the necessary skills to thrive in the modern global community. The ICS community is especially enriched by its eclectic mix of staff and students hailing from over 30 different countries. Many of our students bring a rich Arabic heritage with them to the school. As an inclusive school ICS prides itself on its inviting and supportive environment promoting the values of tolerance, care, honesty, respect, resilience, and integrity at the heart of our student-centered curriculum. Branch 1 had been graded as ‘Good’ by Irtiqaa in its last 2 local authority inspections.

We are over halfway through the building of our new purpose-built school which should be ready for the Academic year of August 2021/22. The new build will boast state of the art facilities, including a swimming pool, auditorium/theatre, modern classrooms, fully fitted science labs and expansive libraries.
