Tenby International School, Tropicana Aman (TTA) is proud to be part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP) a fast-growing global schools’ group in six clusters across the world; Europe, Mexico & Central America, the Middle East, South America, Southeast Asia and the USA. Opening in 2018, Tenby International School, Tropicana Aman (TTA) is on a purpose-built campus located in an attractive, green setting in the suburban area of Tropicana Aman, within the vicinity of Kota Kemuning, Selangor. With currently 400+ students on roll, aged 3 - 16, across primary and secondary, our vibrant and dynamic school continues to grow and has already fostered a happy atmosphere and strong sense of community. 

Our curriculum is based on, but not constrained by, the National Curriculum for England, with our Early Years focusing on the EYFS Development Matters. We focus is on providing amazing learning experiences through a creative and innovative curriculum. We aim to give the best learning journey possible and believe that every child should and does matter and success stems from placing our students at the heart of everything we do. With our values-based learning, we believe in developing the whole child - academically, socially and emotionally, enabling the students to make a positive contribution and forge lifelong friendships.

This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end.(expat)/permanent contract (local) We also offer:

 Skills, Qualifications and Experience  

  • Hold a good Honours Degree.  
  • Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or similar).  
  • Have experience and excellent knowledge of teaching the English National Curriculum & IGCSE/A Level.  
  • A minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience is essential.  
  • Understand and be able to articulate what constitutes outstanding learning.  
  • Want to play an active role in the co-curricular life of a busy international school.  
  • Possess the ambition, enthusiasm and growth mindset to want to play a key role in shaping and developing a growing and dynamic school.  
  • Be committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like-minded colleagues.  
  • The ability to teach an additional subject would be an advantage.

Established in 1960, the TENBY SCHOOLS GROUP operates international and private schools in Malaysia; currently in Tropicana Aman, Shah Alam, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, and Semenyih. Each campus provides for both primary and secondary international schools. The campuses in Ipoh, Penang, Shah Alam, and Johor Bahru also provide for private schools following the Malaysian curriculum. 

Tenby International School, Tropicana Aman’s Campus is a new modern contemporary campus with green concepts in a healthy lifestyle community housing development area. It is designed, from inception, to meet the educational needs of 21st Century learners in the lush, spacious and conducive environment within the vicinity of Kota Kemuning, Selangor.

The international primary school (Key Stages 1 and 2) follows the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) using a thematic approach in teaching and learning activities. In the international secondary school (Key Stage 3), the National Curriculum for England is taught which will lead into the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in September 2020 when our first cohort will begin their IGCSE course.
