Due to continued growth in student numbers, we need a Teacher of EAL who wishes to be part of a professionally dynamic, supportive and forward thinking learning community, in a safe, family-friendly setting. We are looking for a primary-experienced EAL teacher, or primary school literacy specialist, ideally to start immediately, but would be willing to consider applicants with a January start date.
Suitable candidates may also be considered for the role of EAL Coordinator.
The successful candidates must:
-Have experience as a primary teacher.
-Hold a first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in primary education (i.e. PGCE/GTP), with Qualified Teacher Status and some degree of formal EAL training and/or experience.
-Have the ability to use IT to support teaching and learning.
Please note, that due to regulations, we can only consider applicants who have formal qualifications in primary teaching, or who hold QTS or are just finishing their training (with regard the latter, we are a BSO school and can help an NQT to qualify for Qualified Teacher Status).
Please speak to us if you are able to engage, motivate and support our students, other staff and parents, and present a positive and enthusiastic outlook and, most importantly of all, fully subscribe to the maxim that “all complex decision-making must be based on what constitutes best practice for the child”.
The school offers a competitive, tax-free international salary and benefits package, comparable to other international schools in the region. To apply for this position please use 'Quick Apply'.
RAK Academy Family of Schools is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must have undergone child protection screening and any offer of appointment will be subject to the above checks.
