The new Swiss International School of Qatar is seeking three outstanding and forward-thinking French Teachers for September 2019. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the founding team of educators that is establishing the IB PYP at SISQ. SISQ will be a full IB school and has the ambition of becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region.
There are two full-time and one part-time positions available. French is given a very special place in the SISQ curriculum and all Primary children from KG to G5 have daily French lessons. Students are set by level, from complete beginners to native French speakers. French teachers teach five 45 min French lessons per day.
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:
- Experience teaching French in an international school setting
- Be a fluent French speaker or have a native level of French proficiency
- Strong spoken and written English
- Ability to cope in a start-up environment
- Extensive curriculum-writing skills and experience
- A collaborative style and a good sense of humour
- A commitment to continuous improvement
- A commitment to student learning and safeguarding
The following qualities would be an advantage:
- PYP experience
