Wellington Lions and Wellington Eagles Primary Academy are looking to recruit an IT Technician who can confidently provide hardware and software support to staff and students within the schools.

The Successful candidate will:

  • Be able to provide an outstanding level of IT Support and IT Project related activities to staff and students within the school.
  • Be a first point of contact for ICT Support within a school.
  • Provide classroom support for teachers using the computer systems across the schools including connectivity to school systems, projectors and printers.
  • Install, configure and maintain software and hardware components.
  • Maintain hardware across the school, repair and replace damaged computers and network complaints.
  • Diagnose, test and troubleshoot repeated problems or service issues raised through the service desk and escalating those issues that cannot be resolved.
  • Maintain and record IT documentation.
  • Well-presented and have excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner with the ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
  • To provide support and advice on the use of IT services.
  • To undertake IT projects as directed by the business needs of the organization.
  • To provide and maintain staff user accounts applying the Trust IT policies and co-ordinating with other teams as required.

The right candidate will have:

  • A Level or equivalent in IT Support or any related subject.
  • Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with school staff, and other agencies.
  • Professional Appearance.
