Job overview

Andersen International School is an international school in Milan, which welcomes children from 15 months old to 14 years old. The school is aimed in fact to all sections of primary education, which starts from Nursery, to Kindergarten and Reception, through to Key stage 1 and Key stage 2. We also then have our Middle school which caters to the Key stage 3 phase of the English system. We are opening this September 2019 our High school.

The school is a Member of COBIS, Council of British International Schools, an international body that oversees the quality and standards of international schools worldwide and ensures a high level of education.

Andersen International School is close to the city centre and is located in East Milan, easily accessible by public transport.
The property is located in a natural environment, with large outdoor spaces in which pupils and students can play and interact with confidence: the school is surrounded by a private garden, equipped with facilities, playgrounds, areas for outdoor activities such as a basketball court and a professional athletics track.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for those seeking a new teaching experience in an international setting. The school is looking for highly motivated and inspirational teachers to work in our Primary and Middle school.  Due to the recent school expansion there are opportunities in KS1, KS2 and KS3 departments. The choice of the year group will depend on the candidate’s strengths and experience. We are looking in particular for Mathematics and Science KS3 teachers.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be an inspiring and motivated teacher holding QTS status
  • Be experienced with the recent changes to the English curriculum and assessment system
  • Be willing to share their knowledge and experience and take new ideas from others
  • Be committed to supporting children's learning, development and well-being and demonstrate the capacity to provide stimulating teaching for pupils
  • Be flexible and creative
  • Have experience of communicating with parents
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Have two recent teaching related references
