The opening of Merchiston Castle International School, China (MCIS) in September 2018 creates an exciting opportunity for a committed teacher of Special Needs to develop their career at an innovative co-educational day and boarding school in Shenzhen, Southern China by establishing a full programme of educational support which will include provision for Gifted and Talented children.
MCIS will be admitting students of a wide range of abilities, but skewed to the upper end. During our opening year, the successful candidate will need to be fully committed to assessing the needs of all students, establishing the inclusion list and initiating measures to enable colleagues to meet the needs of all students.
A position of responsibility may be available to a suitably qualified person.
Merchiston Castle International School
MCIS will offer an innovative British independent school curriculum for international students aged 5 – 18, starting in Key Stage 1 and culminating in IGCSE and GCE A Level. The campus, inspired by the ethos of Merchiston Castle, Edinburgh, is designed to create the kind of innovative learning spaces in which an effective 21st century education can take place.
