St George’s School seeks a well-qualified professional to teach music in our flourishing primary department, to begin August 2018 or as soon as possible.
Having opened in September 2013, St George’s School Munich has rapidly developed into a thriving community of over 250 pupils and 35 teachers. The school continues to grow, and as the school matures we expect to reach 800 pupils. The school’s ethos of combining an enriching curriculum with family orientated care makes the school a warm and engaging place to work and learn.
In September 2017, the school embarked on an exciting phase of its development, as it moved to a new, purpose-built campus located in the city. These premises provide first-class educational facilities for all ages and subject areas.
The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school and we offer IGCSE qualifications to pupils in our Upper School. The school is currently undergoing IB accreditation, and we intend to start teaching the IB Diploma Programme in September 2018.

We are seeking to appoint a qualified music teacher to work in our flourishing primary department.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic teacher with experience of enabling pupils to achieve their potential. We are looking for the right balance between experience, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching that will inspire our pupils.
Fluency in English and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.

Our new campus provides outstanding facilities in which to develop pupils’ musical talents. The department has two spacious music studios, as well as a recording studio, numerous practice rooms and integrated technology.
The successful individual will work together with our secondary music teacher to ensure the primary curriculum develops musical skills in a consistent and engaging manner in order to prepare the students for moving onto Middle School where Music is a compulsory part of the curriculum.
Please note that a teaching degree or post-graduate diploma (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE or equivalent) is required for this role. Unqualified teachers, or those only holding TEFL or ESOL qualifications, will not be considered.
