Working as a Primary Phase Leader we require for you to have the ambition and drive to develop our primary faculty. You will be the main lead in forming and implementing methods to improve teaching and learning across our primary division and will work with and manage four primary teachers within our school and have the responsibility for providing vision, leadership and direction for the continuing development of the school. 

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and would suit an experienced senior teacher who is looking to join our SLT and has a genuine interest in working with and supporting children in an SEN environment, specifically Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties. 

Following a thorough induction, the main duties as a Primary Phase Leader will include:

• Facilitate and encourage learning which enables students to achieve high standards

• Help achieve high standards of pupil attainment, behaviour and motivation through effective action plans and development

• Establish and developing school policies

• Share and support the corporate responsibility for the well-being, education and discipline of all children

• Give support and guidance to all staff in the execution of their duties

• Developing the primary tasks of both education and care, maintaining focus on the needs of young people.

Key Skills Required

• Hold a nationally recognised degree and relevant Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) as a primary teacher

• Ideally, have experience of working within an SEN setting although not essential

• Previous supervisory experience and be able to lead and motivate a team of teaching staff

• Good knowledge of both safeguarding procedures and relevant regulatory body legislation

• Effective communication skills with the ability to build ongoing, positive relationships with the students
