The Strothoff International School is a bilingual, international school. In our pedagogical concept, we follow both the Hessian education plan and the international IB curriculum. On our family-friendly and modern campus in Dreieich (near Frankfurt), we offer around 360 children and young people access to German-English language acquisition, starting in nursery, according to the immersion method. Within the framework of our international and diverse campus community, our pedagogical team in the nursery, primary school and secondary school supports our students in growing up to become independent, open-minded and globally thinking young people.

Your Responsibilities
- Management, organization, and further development of the primary school in close coordination with the leadership team of the other two school locations
- Quality assurance and development regarding the primary school and teaching in accordance with the Hessian Education Plan
- Responsibility for compliance with school law requirements in accordance with the Hessian School Act
- Further development of digital learning in the elementary school
- Leadership and personnel responsibility for teachers and educational staff
- Active participation in personnel selection
- External representation and cooperation with parents as well as external partners
- Leading various conferences
- Teaching as needed (maximum of 8 teaching hours per week)
- Support for the admission of new students within the framework of school guidelines and processes
- Close collaboration with the kindergarten to enable a smooth transition for children into primary school
- Close collaboration with management, the site leadership team, and the governmental institutions and supervisory authorities responsible for substitute schools
Your Profile
- Minimum of five years’ teaching experience in an international primary school setting
- At least two years in a senior leadership role; master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- Teaching qualifications and experience in the IB PYP
- Equivalent teaching qualification in Hessen or comparable certification
- Experience with local or national curricula and international school accreditation
- Strong understanding of assessment and teaching for understanding within the IB framework
- Proven leadership in teaching excellence and a commitment to professional development
- Effective faculty development and evaluation skills with a focus on improving student learning outcomes
- Strong collaborative skills with diverse stakeholders

About Phorms School Frankfurt
Located in Germany, Frankfurt City, Steinbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt and Strothoff International School in Dreieich near Frankfurt are co-educational bilingual independent schools. The schools offer provision for students starting in nursery or reception, going up to age 18 and the end of secondary school. The reception, primary and secondary departments are all located on the Campus Frankfurt City. The nursery and another primary and secondary school are located on the Campus Frankfurt Taunus in Steinbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt. The curriculum in Frankfurt and Steinbach (Taunus) is primarily based around the German education system, with students working towards the German Abitur, a university-preparatory qualification, as well as optional North American-style Advanced Placement Programmes. The curriculum at the school also has strong English/German bilingual elements, with students being exposed to and taught in both languages at a young age. Our Strothoff International School in Dreieich offers education from kindergarten to Secondary School with the IB Curriculum.
The campuses have seen significant development and modernisation over the years, and as a result are able to boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities. These include a range of new facilities added by the opening of a brand new purpose-built school building in 2011, housing a swimming pool, numerous modern classrooms, a basketball court, playgrounds and recreational areas for students at every level of the school.
Teaching Information
Teachers and Educators at Frankfurt work in a more flexible environment, with less conventional homework being set and smaller class sizes than other schools. Teachers and Educators all be expected to have a strong grasp of both English and German, and to hold appropriate educational qualifications such as a postgraduate diploma.
