We are looking for energetic, curious and collaborative Upper and Lower Primary School Teachers to join our committed, happy and growing primary school team.

ICS Milan is an international school which offers a forward-thinking and exciting educational experience predominantly through English, but with a strong and integrated Italian program. ICS currently caters for children from 6 months to 15 years of age with the plan to offer a complete educational route from nursery to IB diploma level as the school grows. The approach applied throughout the school aims to equip students with the values, skills, and experiences to enable them to become successful, mindful and proactive global citizens.

In the Primary School our specially devised curriculum  (Cambridge curriculum in Maths and English and IPC ) offers rigorous and challenging learning outcomes within an exciting and thematic program based around five learning units each year . Incorporated throughout is our unique design thinking approach, with a strong focus on encouraging and developing innovative and creative skills, problem solving strategies, collaborative working styles and excellent communication skills. We are a Paritaria school which means that some of our curriculum is delivered in Italian by specialist Italian teachers.

In the Secondary, we offer the IB MYP framework as part of the School’s STEAM agenda. We are also a Paritaria school in the secondary and this programme is integrated across the subjects in the curriculum.

Candidates must have a degree - for Primary, a B.Ed ( or equivalent from another country)- for Secondary, a specialist subject degree plus PGCE/QTS or equivalent) and at least 2 years post qualifying full time teaching experience in a school and in upper primary classes and/or lower primary classes.

Curriculum

ICS Milan offers a stimulating learning journey which is defined by a rich and well-structured curriculum that integrates the following frameworks:

EARLY YEARS

  • The British Early Years Foundation Stage, a play-based framework, featuring the learning and development goals for young children from birth to five years.


PRIMARY SCHOOL

  • The Cambridge Primary Programme, covering English and maths.
  • The IPC - International Primary Curriculum, covering the topic-based subjects (science, social studies, geography, history, art and international mindedness).
  • National recommendations for the curriculum as established by the Italian Ministry of Education for the Italian language and culture programme. In the 2016/17 academic year, ICS Milan was granted officially recognised school status (parità).


SECONDARY SCHOOL

ICS Secondary School has been designed to offer the IB Programme of the International Baccalaureate:

  • Middle Years Programme for students from 11 to 16 years old.
  • IB Diploma programme 17-18 years old.


As a Scuola Paritaria, our students have the flexibility to move between the Italian and international curriculum, opting to complete the Scuola Media and sit the Licenza Media exams with us, and move back to the Italian system for Liceo, or, to continue with us to complete their Scuola Superiore studies in 4 years alongside the IB, MYP and DP.
