Job overview

Teach Jersey’s Primary Children

With 24 Primary Schools on an island of 45 square miles, we are able to offer an environment that is personal where our children blossom and our locations are as different as the challenges. From rural to town environments, to multi first language children and a typical class size of 27 students all our schools are unique and we would love to see if any of them match you.

With their own identities and a supportive centre, our schools have the ability to make changes that best suit the children of their community. An Island lifestyle, field trips may be to a beach, a castle or even to France and the logistics due to shorter distances are less complicated.  As with many aspects of Island life, our education system is familiar enough for comfort but offers differences such as an absence of Ofsted filled with a partnership assessment framework instead.  With great outside spaces and a warmer climate, our children have a huge range of rich learning activities on offer including woodland nature walks, surfing and kayaking.

We would love the opportunity to tell you about life on our Island and teaching our children. If Jersey has never crossed your mind, do drop us a line so we can share with you our wonderful Island life and how teaching in one of our schools maybe the perfect fit you didn’t know existed.   With wide ranging opportunities from Early Years to Year 6 as well as specialist SEN roles we can accommodate all levels of experience and interests.
