Primary Swimming Teacher / Coach

As a Swimming Teacher / Coach, you will efficiently and effectively support the HPE Department in its delivery of high quality swim teaching and coaching across the school. Experience of teaching swimming lessons within the Primary School is essential. Experience of teaching swimming to older learners (Years 7-9) would be advantageous. 

The role would also include leading and coaching the Competitive and Developmental Squads, as well as detailed session planning.

In addition to the qualifications and skills outlined in the Job Description for a Specialist Teacher, the right candidate will also have the following coaching skills/qualification and attributes;

Minimum FINA Level 2 Coach/UKCC Level 2 certified (or International equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years coaching experience and prior experience in squad planning ideally in a school environment

Experience or willingness to learn how to use google suite platforms, ACTIVE Hy-Tek' Swim Software and Team Unify

Experience and knowledge of strength conditioning for swimmers would be an advantage

Willingness to assist the Head Coach with the Performance Squad training when necessary

Assist with the planning and running of Nexus school, and other competitive swim meets in Singapore or abroad

A commitment to training during school holidays when necessary
