Primary Teacher – The Royal Grammar School Guildford Qatar

The Royal Grammar School Guildford Qatar (RGSGQ) has a thriving three to four-form entry primary school with approximately 570 pupils. Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum for England and is enriched by well-established programmes, including Talk for Writing, Read Write Inc., White Rose Maths, and White Rose Science.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint outstanding Primary Teachers to join our team. We are looking for educators who are enthusiastic, reflective and able to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

About the School:

The RGS Guildford Qatar has developed a strong partnership with RGS Guildford in the UK, which is a prestigious UK independent school with a tradition and rich history for providing outstanding education. We also have strong links with our international sister schools throughout the world.

The RGS Guildford, Qatar is an all-through British school offering a co-educational British curriculum for children aged 3 to 18. The school opened in September 2016 and now welcomes over 785 students to its campus which is just 20 minutes from the Pearl and the new Lusail city. Students follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and at Key Stage 4 a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses. At post-16 the school offers a range of AS levels. The school has a reputation for high quality teaching and learning and has a range of excellent sports facilities which include an astro turf, sports hall and an open-air swimming pool.

Successful applicants must have:

· A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject relevant bachelor’s degree)

· Experience of teaching the British National Curriculum

· QTS is desirable

· ECTs can apply

· The ability to work well in a team

· A hard working and highly motivated work ethic

· A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning

· A willingness to take part in extra-curricular activities after school
