The International School of Bucharest sits on a purpose-built campus close to the city with excellent transport links. The school has a well-established community among staff and students with a high rate of staff retention. We are looking for an experienced teacher to contribute to a thriving school community. Bucharest is a vibrant city to live and work in and many of our teachers can live comfortably and find they are able to both save and travel well compared to the UK.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a PGCE, BEd and QTS or equivalent.
Have teaching experience in either the English National Curriculum or within a British style curriculum at home or internationally.
Successful Primary School teaching experience in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Competency in the use of learning technologies in the classroom.
Familiarity of the Talk for Writing model would be an advantage..
High expectations and aspirations for all children.
A commitment to the overall development of young people.
Understanding of and experience with teaching students who are English Language Learners.
Be willing to contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.
Previous teaching experience in an international school is an advantage. A Year Leader position could be available for suitable candidates. Please note if this of interest to you in your letter of application.
