TBSC: WORKING IN THE PRIMARY SECTION
The British School Caracas was founded in 1950. We have slowly expanded over the years and are looking for inspirational teachers to join the team. We have 130 students in the Primary Section and 120 students in the Secondary Section. Our curriculum in the Primary Section follows the English National Curriculum mixed with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
The Primary Section is an exciting place to work! We are looking at increasing numbers in the next few years. If you would like to be part of these exciting times, we look forward to receiving your application. Our teachers are flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, excellent communicators and always willing to go the extra mile (see attached teacher profile). We are committed to educating the whole child and are not simply a results factory.
We are looking for EYFS teachers with good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage programme. A minimum of two years’ teaching experience is desirable, although we do offer NQT training for exceptional applicants. See attached file for details of our full benefits package.
We are committed to Continuous Professional Development for all our teachers and place great importance in recruiting teachers who ‘fit’ into our team. Our Year 9 students created a video to convince you! (HERE).
Before applying, we strongly recommend that applicants read through all the attached documentation. Please apply with a letter of application that must highlight why you would like to work at TBSC (and live in Caracas), and five essential traits of an international teacher. Please apply by sending a letter of application and an up to date CV to the Head of School, Yasir Patel, head@tbscaracas.com.
Interviews will take place ideally face-to-face in London in January 2020. Skype is an option also.
Start Date: August 2020.
