About IPS

Established over 25 years ago, IPS is a small and highly respected Primary school, well known for its friendly atmosphere. IPS provides a safe, welcoming environment for children from 3 to 11 years of age, to learn, play and develop. We are now extremely proud of our purpose built premises in Cascais, which opened its doors in September 2010.

IPS provides a safe, friendly and caring environment in which each child develops their academic, social and emotional skills to become confident and well-rounded citizens of the world. Each individual is encouraged to achieve their full potential within a stimulating local and international environment.

The Position

Primary classroom teachers at IPS are responsible for the educational development and pastoral care of a class of mixed ability pupils, in accordance with the school’s policies and philosophy.

The Person

Successful candidates will:

  • Have knowledge and experience of teaching the National Curriculum of England across the primary age range
  • Possess effective teaching and learning styles, providing effectively for the individual needs of all children, including EAL provision
  • Be able to create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment
  • Be able to develop and maintain positive relationships within a team, as well as with children and parents
  • Be enthusiastic, positive, approachable, committed, motivated and well organised
  • Have a good sense of humour.
