St. Stephen’s International School, Khao Yai campus, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teaching professional as a Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher at our Khao Yai Campus starting August 2020.

As a Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher the successful applicant will be responsible for the curricular and pastoral needs of their class. The primary school follows the English National Curriculum for the teaching of English and mathematics, modified to suit the needs of our learners, alongside the IPC (International Primary Curriculum). Specialist teachers take classes for Thai, Mandarin, PE and music. As well as daily classroom duties teachers are expected to support the after school activities programme and be responsible for their teaching assistant.

It is essential to:

• have experience of teaching the UK Curriculum at Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2

• be a native-level English speaker

• be appropriately qualified (e.g. B.Ed. or a first degree and a PGCE)

• provide three professional referees, one of whom must be your current, or most recent, Principal 

It is desirable to have experience of:

• the IPC curriculum

• working in the international sector

St. Stephen’s is a boarding school  located very close to the World Heritage Site of the Khao Yai National Park, about two hours drive from Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok.  The school has a very large and beautiful campus with stunning local scenery, and is well equipped with many facilities.

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are encouraged to express their interest in one or more of the following responsibilities: 

• Early Years and Key Stage 1 Coordinator

• Primary English Coordinator

• Primary PSHE Coordinator

• Primary IPC Coordinator

St Stephen’s International School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational all-through independent school  with boarding in Thailand, serving students from the age of 3-16. The all-through school is situated in Pak Chong – 150 km from Bangkok. It was the first international boarding school to open in Thailand. There are approximately 135 students on record. 

St Stephen’s International School offers a British-based curriculum in English and Thai, with students sitting IGCSE exams before graduating to the next stage of their education. The school is situated close to a UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Khao Yai National Park. Facilities include a swimming pool, sports grounds tennis courts, a large gym, computer suites and a large library.
