This is an outstanding opportunity to assume the position of Primary Teacher at Reigate Grammar International School Kuala Lumpur. This opportunity is pivotal to the successful growth and development of the school in our newly built campus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are a fully co-educational all-through school serving Malaysian and International students from EYFS to Sixth Form. Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Key Stage 2 to join our growing team. The main responsibilities of the post will include: 

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum and international best practices.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including EAL learners and those with additional learning needs.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies, including inquiry-based learning, collaborative work, and hands-on activities.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset.
  • Integrate educational technology to enhance learning experiences at RGSKL.


Qualifications: 

Essential: 

  • A UK or Internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. 


Experience: 

Essential: 

  • Experience working in a British School, British International Schools or with the British curriculum. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at primary level and be able to demonstrate a high level of subject expertise.


Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: 

  • Good knowledge of the key stage being taught and the different needs of primary school students.
  • Effective classroom management with an ability to manage the class and resources effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, as well as collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. 
  • Competence in assessing student progress, using data to inform teaching, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. 
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles. 


Co-Curricular Activities: 

  • All staff are actively involved in the co-curricular life of the school, and we encourage staff to share their passions with our pupils. Applications are especially welcome from staff who are able to support a range of Outdoor Education & Sports programmes; Performing Arts & Expression; Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Community & Service.

Welcome to Reigate Grammar School Kuala Lumpur (working in partnership with Beaconhouse Malaysia). It gives us great pleasure to introduce the school to you on behalf of both the governors and the staff. RGS is a large, heavily oversubscribed, Reception to A-level school. We are a truly comprehensive and inclusive school, committed to providing the best education we can for the children in our local community.
