Primary Teacher

Since opening in 2017, EFI Casablanca primary school has been enhancing its English program by gradually changing its EFL program to a bilingual one. The 3-7 year old classes are taught 50% in French and 50% in English with the curriculum based on the French National Curriculum. The 8-10 year olds have 4 hours per week of English plus one co-taught class a week.

For late August 2022 we are looking for an English-speaking Primary teacher to join our expanding team.  As the school’s working language is French, having basic communication skills is definitely an asset. 

Candidates must be graduate native-speakers of English and have a minimum of three years primary classroom teaching experience and possess teaching credentials. 

Most nationals of English-speaking countries can obtain visas and foreign work permits in Morocco (Canada, India, Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, Pakistan, United Kingdom, USA etc.), as long as adequate proof of previous work experience is provided (work certificates). 

We offer permanent full-time contracts with an attractive salary dependent upon qualifications and previous experience, as well as several other benefits.

EFI teachers enjoy three 12-day breaks during the year in addition to 16 days at the end of December.  They also enjoy all public and religious holidays as well as seven weeks off in the summer.

Casablanca is a major cosmopolitan city of more than five million and is the economic capital of Morocco. It is a bustling city on the coast with developing parks and modern conveniences. It is a key jumping-off point for local and foreign travel. 

Following an initial screening of written applications, successful applicants will be invited to complete a recorded video interview. The final stage is a live on-line interview with the English language programme coordinator and the primary school principal.
