Primary Teachers needed (across the Key Stages) for Northampton Pupil Referral Unit
Pay to Scale
Vision for Education are looking for a Primary Teacher to teach across all key stages at a Northampton based Pupil Referral Unit.
You will be working with pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school and require a bespoke educational experience to get them back on track and ready to re-emerge themselves back into mainstream schools. The pupils may exhibit challenging behaviour at times, and a higher than regular amount will have additional needs such as Social Emotional and Mental Health issues and/or Special Educational Needs (such as Moderate Learning Difficulties or Autistic Spectrum Conditions).
This is a temporary position with a high potential to go permanent.
This could be your chance to make a real difference in a young person’s life.
We’re always interested in talking to teachers with any level of experience - whether you’re an NQT, busy parent or semi-retired!
Whether you are looking for day to day work to boost your experience or are wanting something on a more long-term basis or permanent basis, Vision for Education would love to hear from you!
Because of the current situation regarding the Coronavirus, some UK schools may experience an unprecedented challenge with their tried and tested methods of recruitment, and we are in talks with Headteachers of SEND schools across the area, supporting them for any additional challenges they may face when schools do return later this academic year.
To be considered for the position, you will:
- Have QTS or be an NQT and have experience of working as a Teacher.
- Be experienced in working with children or young adults with special educational needs and exhibiting challenging behaviour.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Vision for Education are committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
