Poe Magnet Elementary is a small Gifted and Talented Basics school just outside of downtown Raleigh. With only about 400 students, they are able to provide a close-knit family environment where each child builds positive relationships with caring adults. Their core values guide their mission to inspire and cultivate confident learners prepared to embrace the challenges of the future.

 

Poe Magnet Elementary is located in Wake County, North Carolina. The school is situated just outside of the tri-city region of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Also known as the ‘Triangle area,’ it was recently ranked as the number two place in the country to live by the US News and World Report. In a new study from WalletHub, Raleigh was also voted one of the safest US cities to live in. 

 

We are looking for passionate teachers committed to sharing their culture, embracing U.S. culture, and increasing mutual understanding between U.S. citizens and citizens of their home country. 

All international candidates are required to apply directly with Participate Learning. Participate Learning has been an official BridgeUSA exchange visitor program with the US Department of State for more than 30 years and has helped more than 10,000 international educators experience teaching full-time in the US. Participate Learning is designated to screen, provide visa sponsorship, and support participants throughout their stay in the United States, in conjunction with their host school. Candidates must successfully complete Participate Learning’s application process to be considered for this position.

 

 About the role:

• Primary Teacher
• Full-time, full-year position
• Willing to commit to a minimum of 2 years, with a maximum stay of 5 years 

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in Primary Education 
• Hold a teacher training degree for Primary Education.  
• Must be currently teaching full-time
• Hold a valid driver's license
