We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher to join us on either a fixed term or permanent contract, working with pupils with autism in our primary department. If you join us on a permanent basis, a recruitment and retention allowance would be awarded.
If you are an inspirational Primary Teacher who is passionate about enhancing the provision for children and young people with special educational needs we want to hear from you.
We opened in a new building in June 2013 and provide education for up to 100 4-18 year olds. We have been making excellent progress since then and in September 2017, we were graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, who also stated that “Behaviour is good, and pupils have positive attitudes to learning and stay safe”. We have high aspirations for the future and aim to be a centre of excellence for educating children with ASC.
We are committed to providing a welcoming, stimulating learning experience for all pupils, therefore, above experience and specialist qualifications will be your passion for working with special needs pupils and the willingness to contribute to broader academy life.
This role is suitable for either experienced professionals who wish to progress their career or for NQTs who want to begin their career in a learning rich environment.
You will join a team of committed staff who are dedicated to ensuring pupils are prepared for the years beyond education and are supported to pursue their dreams. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction and the knowledge you are making a difference to our pupils’ lives.
The wider Greenwood Academies Trust values continuing professional development and will ensure that you are given access to a variety of learning opportunities including training courses via the Learning Alliance and opportunities for sharing best practice.
If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact Samantha Newark, PA to the Principal on 01733 821403 to arrange a suitable time.
