The British School Yangon (BSY) remains open and is committed to our BSY families despite the challenges facing Myanmar since a coup in February.

We are currently teaching online through our Virtual School Experience (VSE). We benefit enormously from the support and collaboration that comes with being part of Nord Anglia’s family of schools and this academic year we have set up a teaching base at our sister-Nord Anglia school, Regents International, in Chonburi, Thailand.

From here, we can continue with our VSE from a similar time-zone and with all teachers together. We will also be well-placed to return to Myanmar as soon as it is safe and possible to do so. Therefore, the successful candidate for this position must be prepared to move into Myanmar at any point this academic year.

About the role:

We are looking for a Primary teacher to join our team here in Thailand. You will be passionate about your subject and be able to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons and have relevant experience teaching in this Key Stage.

About you:

As a qualified teacher, you will be a fluent English speaker and have experience of delivering the British curriculum. You will be committed to developing personalised approaches to learning and experienced in the latest assessment methods. You will be an excellent communicator, who works in partnership with colleagues, students and parents to create a learning environment that delivers educational excellence. You will be keen to contribute to the ongoing development of our curriculum and will be an effective professional with outstanding subject knowledge and experience of teaching.
