Job overview

We are a term-time residential provision catering for boys, aged from 8-18 years, with challenging behaviour. This behaviour may be as a result of ‘Social, Emotional and Mental Health’ (SEMH), severe ‘Attachment Disorders’ and/or Autisic Spectrum Condition.  Our experienced staff provide specialist support in all areas of learning from the National Curriculum to personal and social development. We have a range of quality facilities promoting safe and stimulating learning, including a separate Lower School (8-12 year olds), Sports Hall, Technology Suite, Science Laboratory, ICT Suite, Art base, large outdoor areas and individual support bases.  We provide the opportunity for the young people to access a wide range of accreditation courses from Entry Level to GCSE to BTEC. At post 16 years we offer individualised bridging programmes based in their local community geared towards Further Education, work and greater independence. This positive journey towards being more confident and independent is mirrored in the care areas which offer ‘independent living houses’ for KS4 and 5 students.  Under the guidance of the teaching staff, provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children, including those with special needs, to achieve defined progression targets in a child’s individual Education Health Care plan and in class plans.

Hours of Work are 36.8 per week Monday to Friday during school term times.  The salary is £20,661 to £22,658 pro rata
