Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is holding Qualified Teachers Status. 

The proposed start date for this role would be September 2021. 

A primary school transition teacher is required to start from September 2021 with experience support students across Upper Key Stage 2 and 3. 

The role

Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint an experienced primary transition teacher who has a proven track record of teaching across the range of upper Key Stage 2, with strengths in Maths, English and Science. You will be responsible for working with students predominantly in Years 7 and 8 who are struggling to make expected progress and will deliver a curriculum which will help students to succeed in a mainstream secondary setting. Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans, is essential.

Requirements

To be considered for the Primary Transition Teacher position, you will:

• Relevant specialist experience and qualifications in your subject specialism with the ability to teach at all Key Stages and all abilities.

• Qualified Teachers Status 

• Relevant specialist qualifications or experience working with students with a range of SEN Needs. 

• Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)

• Possess recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks.
